This is my version of Sorry 4 The Wait. The Top 100 will begin to release next week, and we might as well start this party off right with my All-Pro inspired All-East Texas team. 1 QB, 1 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 2 T, 2 G, 1 C, 2 Edge Rushers, 2 DT, 2 LBs, 2 CB, 1 Nickel, and 2 Safeties.
Kaleb Walker might be the most gifted of all the DL in East Texas. He lined up over the tackle and on the edge, but Walker has the frame to be the most explosive 3 tech in Texas. The UH signee has tormented defense all throughout his career, and Walker's senior year was another productive, explosive season.
Brooks is that guy. He can do anything on the football field that the QB position requires. He has more than a live arm, he can chunk it. Despite the lack of QB runs called for him, Brooks might be the fastest player on the field. His decision making is elite, and with the accuracy and velocity on his throws, Brooks is the best QB in East Texas.
We've been watching KJ for the past 4 seasons, and their is no doubt in my mind he's the best running back in East Texas. Edwards game has evolved over time, from a perimeter feature runner, to an every down, anyway type of back. Edwards left Carthage as the all time leading rusher, and not only is he their best back ever, he might've etched his self on the Mount Rushmore of ETX RBs.
Our WR1 is Trey Haralson. At 6'3 195 pounds, Haralson has the desired size, speed, and playmaking abilities that any coach in the nation would want. He's competitive when the ball's in the air, and 9/10 he's coming down with it. You won't find a better size, skill combination across the east.
WR2 is Micah Lockett. Lockett led East Texas through 10 games in receiving yards, and was his team's best offensive weapon all season long. Lockett set school records for yards and touchdowns in a year, all while playing with a Freshman quarterback this year at Nacogdoches.
The slot position is the most dangerous on the field. This receiver has to be excellent in space and be able to handle screens, blocking, running routes, and running the ball. Ball is the Swiss army knife. He can line up in the backfield, but he's as legit as a receiver as he is a RB. Routes over the middle, rpo quick games, deep balls down the field, you name it, Ball can do it. Oh, and you can hand it off to him 20 times a game and he'll roll for 285 yards in a playoff game.
Reed's season was cut short this year to 5 games, but in those 5 he showed why he's the best TE. 26 catches for 377 yards and 5 touchdowns is decent for any tight end, but exceptional for half a season. Reed has good speed, can jump and catch the fade ball, and will also try to bury you into the turf in run blocking. He's a fantastic hooper, and those skills translate to the football field seamlessly.
First thing that jumps out to you is the size of KJ Greer. He's a mammoth of a human, but moves with the agility of a person way lighter than him. Greer can pull and lead block on top of the production he can give you in regular zone schemes. He keeps a fantastic base in pass blocking, and moves his feet really well.
Chisum's about to be a 3 time member of the list, which means he's been kicking ass for a long time around East Texas. Chisum's not an absolute mauler like other players. He instead uses his wits, athleticism and physical toughness/mentality to get the job done. He was a constant puller in Texas High's schemes, and works fantastically on the double team on zone.
Griffin is one of the best offensive linemen in East Texas history. He's continually improved his game year in and out. He's intelligent, mean, nasty, and consistently doing the correct thing throughout games. He's started at every position on the offensive line, finishing his senior year at C for the Eagles. It should be no surprise that Griffin is one of the best, as Coach Cochran and Jacob Alford have continually put out great products up front.
Jeremiah Jones is about to be back to back on the Top 100, just like he's a back to back state champion. The game is important to Jeremiah. You can tell by the way he play with excellent technique, and the passion he has in trying to finish opponent on blocks. Jones took over leadership as the best OL in Carthage this season, and helped lead a group back to glory.
Jayden Jackson is my kind of lineman. He has tremendous athleticism, but plays with tremendous technique which allows him to flourish against all opponents. His feet are great, he's mean, and you'll love the way he approaches and attacks each snap.
Davion Bogany will have you thinking you're watching some old school Lufkin football. The dude is mean, fast, and can play football. He's difficult in one on one situations and is just a flat out dude. Bogany was one of 2 members from Lufkin's front 6 to make All-East Texas, leading a ferocious defense to one of their better records in recent history.
Harris could've been a 2 way All-East Texas player at TE as well. He's got long arms and quick twitch ability. He's a nightmare of the edge. Play him too heavy, he's around you. Play him too light, he's through you. Harris and Mount Pleasant might've been one of the best 5 defenses in East Texas.
Big Cam is the best run stuffer in East Texas. The Texas State signee has been a staple on this Kilgore defensive line for the past 4 seasons, and as he gained experience and wits, he gained the size to make him unstoppable as well. He's as savvy as they come, with 3 picks and 3 blocked kicks in an amazing senior year.
Key is the best 2 way player in ETX. He's a dominant receiver, but defensively he shined as Kilgore's best defender. Graves plays with incredible effort, has greats wits and intelligence to his game, and is an opportunist. He believes any football around him is his, and flew around the ball all 2025 as the best player on of the Top 2 defenses in East Texas.
Desmen Hood Jr has joined a special group of alumni as one of the better linebackers to come through the L. Hood Jr possesses tremendous speed that creates nightmares to plan for it. He's not just fast, he's patient. He waits the time to choose the right lane to fill on inside runs. Going outside with? He'll run you down and smoke your boots. A super strong season for the Senior from Lufkin.
Tylin Williams plays safety for the Carthage Bulldogs, but he'll also slide into the slot and play nickel. There's not a better player in that spot. He's active as hell, absolutely has his hair on fire. Williams can cover, but most importantly can blitz and tackle, an important role from the slot. Williams has tremendous playmaking ability, and that Honey Badger-esque performance bodes perfect for the nickel on this team.
Last season Jakalen Sheffield caught 10 interceptions. That number was cut down tremendously to just 3 in 2025, but surprisingly Sheffield might've played just as good. His tackles numbers were up considerably, as team's avoided 7 in the passing game. Sheffield is savvy, and with all his experience on the field, was like a coach for a young secondary that graduated 2 amazing talents.
So if Jakalen's going to tackle everyone, let's put Campbell back there to catch every pick. The senior from New Boston caught 11 this year, and with his range this defensive backfield will be a no fly zone. He's lightening with the ball in his hands, and defensively was just as huge as a problem for offenses.
Stopping the pass game starts with guys who can line up and stay with and in front of receivers. Not too many better across the state and nation than Baylor signee, Jamarion Richardson. J-Rich possesses elite athleticism and can shut an entire side of the field down. He has great ball skills, an impressive vertical, and he's a menace if/when the ball gets in his hands.
Texas Tech signee, S'vioarean Martin is elite. 17 pass break ups in 2025, Martin can disrupt any passing game. At 6'2. there's no getting the ball over him, and with elite change of direction, he can break on any pass anywhere. He was a menace in the return game as well. Martin returned 2 punts back to the house in 2025.

Best kick and punt returner Mar Mar Coleman from Henderson. Several games he had 2 or more TD returns. That’s when they would kick to him.
