Top 10 Longview Lobo Fullbacks

YEAR: 2002-03

Jones is athletic as they come, and did a really good job of setting the trend of what a Longview Fullback is. He's a guy that could've benefited from being in a more modern offense. He could run the ball out of the shotgun, he could catch the ball out of the backfield, and when things went wrong he could slide back and play tailback. He has 9 rushing touchdowns and 1 receiving touchdown in his career.

Dakota's career started out as a tailback, but when it became his junior year he was the backup to Keylon Shaw in 2009 at fullback. Dakota saw opportunities splashed here and there, but became the guy after Shaw dislocated his kneecap against Hallsville. He ran for 8 touchdowns his junior, setting up a big senior year. He ran for 5 touchdowns and caught 1 as a Senior. Dakota  took over as the Running Back in Games 13-15 for the injured J'haston Faggans. He finished with over 800 yards as a senior.

YEARS: 2007-08

J.O. was the back up running back to Johnny Garrett, and played well in his time on the field. With a more talented junior behind him, J.O. made the selfless move to switch to fullback and bring his skill set to that position. Oliver in 2008 ran for 9 touchdowns and caught 1, making his career total 12 touchdowns.

A true block first fullback, by his build you can see what hutchins is all about. a hammer as a blocker, hutchins is one of the best blockers to ever come through LHS from the fullback position. He punished opponents who didn't want to get physical. Guys literally jumped out of the way of 22. He went 70 yards on a fullback dive in the first round against Beaumont Westbrook. Hutchins finished his career with

Keylon Shaw is the hardest runner I've ever seen or been on the field with it. He was explosive, and if there was a brick wall between himself and the end zone, he would knock his self out trying to break that wall. Kelyon was selfless. His junior he spent time watching from the sideline, seldomly getting an opportunity. His senior season though, Keylon blasted through holes and rushed for 5 TDS before having a season ending injury. Had Keylon had a full season, he would probably see his self higher on the list.

Deontre started his career off as a quarterback before making the transition to fullback his junior season. Most of the time that year he was a reserve player behind mighty mouse Dakota Anthony, but due to an injury he got his chance in the playoffs. In the State Semifinal in 2010, Wilson ran 12 times for a 100 yards and caught a touchdown pass. This was merely a preview of what he could do his senior season rushing for 9 more touchdowns in 13 games. The most memorable memory of Wilson is him knocking out a defender who decided to challenge the 6'1 230 fullback from getting into the end zone vs Garland Sasche in 2011.

College: Southern Arkansas

Mark's one of the guys who would've been top 5 had he played tailback. A 3 year letterman, he was 5'7 180 lbs of pure dynamite. He was absolutely explosive from under the I and even better as a single back in the shotgun. He was a handful to get on the ground because of his power, but he was just as shifty as powerful. In his 3 varsity years, Johnson rushed for 15 touchdowns and caught another 3 touchdowns. Just to show you how talented he was, Mark holds the school record for rushing yards at Southern Arkansas where he was the premier back during his time there.

Keke's story is a story of perseverance. Haynes got the call to varsity as a sophomore, but didn't finish the season due to a knee injury. He opened his junior year off with a 46 yard score against Lufkin, but didn't play in another game after another knee injury. As a senior he put it all together. Keke went for 1,198 yards on 135 carries for 13 touchdowns. He caught another 10 passes for 137 yards and a touchdown. He was a bull as a blocker. It'll take a Pro Bowl running back to top him on this list.

COLLEGE: ABILENE CHRISTIAN

Anderson saw playing time at both tailback and fullback, and to be frank was just as talented at both positions. Jessie had a slight edge at fullback because of his weight and strength. Blocking could be ridiculously easy for Anderson. When he hit opponents they would go flying at times. He was explosive running and catching the ball out of the backfield. The only guy I can see in front of him happens to be an all pro running back.

YEARS: 2004-05

Although he was overshadowed by Vondrell while in high school, there isn't a lot to a lot to say here to convince anyone that this NFL Pro Bowler should be the number one guy here. The former pro had the same bruising, punishing running style as a high schooler that he does now as a professional. So imagine an NFL running back crushing people, except on the high school level. Ivory finished with 22 career touchdowns, 19 rushing and 3 receiving.
