2018 was a huge year for music and now it's time to rank who had the best year in music this year.
10. Sheck Wes
One song and it was so good that it deserves a spot on the top 10 artists of the year. Sheck aided Travis Scott on No Bystanders, but Mo Bamba thrived so well that Sheck locks down #10.
9. Ella Mai
The Boo'd Up singer dominated radio waves at the end of 2017 and all of 2018 with "Boo'd Up" and "Trip." She had a tremendous year and landed a spot on 10 of the best artist of 2018.
8. Logic
With 2 albums in 2018, Logic had a dominate year and deserves recognition. Bobby Tarrantino and YSIV are two quality lyrical projects and deserve a listen.
7. Gunna
Gunna showed up on over 3 projects this year, 2 with his name on the front of them. He dropped Drip Season 3, Drip Harder and he made one of the best songs of the year in Sold Out Dates.
6. Kodak Black
Kodak stormed to a spot late in the year when he was releasing single after single in anticipation for the album Dying to Live. Dying to Live is one of the best albums to come out this year, landing him in the top 10. Kodak's album jammed way harder than anyone expected, kudos to him.
5. Lil' Baby
With 3 projects and a number of features, Lil' Baby had a dominate year in the game. His prowess will only continue to grow the more he works.
4. J. Cole
KOD, a platinum album with no features, not to mention the several features he did this year, J. Cole just add more to his legacy in 2018. While it wasn't album of the year, Cole World made his presence felt.
3. Cardi B
Invasion of Privacy was crazy. She had a number 1 hit with Maroon 5. We're all currently wrapped up in her business with Offset, but this diva destroyed 2018.
2. Travis Scott
Album of the year and great production wasn't enough to claim the top dog spot this year, but it's enough for 2. Travis is exceptionally talented, and represents the H each and every time.
1. Drake
Scorpion. Amazing. Look Alive. Amazing. Sicko Mode. Hardest verse on the hardest song of the year. If you think it's someone, smh stop hating!
