10. EMMANUEL GORDON
Years: 2013-14
Career Touchdowns: 2
Gordon was a big time blocker, and with his size he was more like a 3rd offensive tackle on the field. He was a good mobile player, and honestly I'm surprised by the lack of production he had. A guy who gets forgotten, Gordon was a great player.
Years: 2016-18
Career Touchdowns: 4
Quay is the biggest dog on this list. This kid could absolutely roll you. He was a helluva run blocker, and he had a knack for coming up clutch in big moments. His best career games came against Rockwall. In both 17 and 18 he made big catches and touchdowns. Against Klein Collins in the 3rd Round of 17 he made a big time td catch to help pull us out of that one. His numbers aren't special, but he was a big part of a Special team in 2018.
8. JALEN BRADEN
Years: 2018-19
Career Touchdowns: 5
Jhailon Braden skill wise is as big, fast and strong as you would want. He was a great blocker, and he was great with the ball in his hands. He's a guy who would've benefitted if he were a little older. Had he played in the 2000s decade, Braden would've been a star. Instead, Braden was just another weapon in the infantry for King in 18 and 19.
7. DAVID LARSEN
Years: 2006-07
Career Touchdowns: 3
I love Larsen's game. He was a consistent chain mover during his senior season in 2007, and one of the more consistent targets Damion Lewis threw it to. As a junior he made timely catches, coming in as the second tight end. He may have the best set of hands to come outta Longview from the TE position. Larsen didn't have a ton of explosive plays, and that's what drops him lower, but Larsen is definitely a personal favorite.
6. JORDAN WYATT
Years: 2014-15
Career Touchdowns: 7
A speed threat from the tight end position, as a junior, Wyatt made 7 huge catches in a 28 point comeback victory in the playoffs against Lufkin. That just catapulted a big year for Wyatt. Wyatt excelled his senior year to being named 3rd team all state after a 6 touchdown performance. He could stretch the field vertically, and when he caught the ball he was just as explosive after the catch.
5. Colin Jeter
Years: 2011-12
Career Touchdowns: 6
Colin Jeter's story is the best of all the Top 10 players. A literal stick in high school, 6'6 never getting over 215 lbs, Jeter, despite his skill, was overlooked by every D1 school other than Air Force. He signed with Air Force, but unfortunately, due to family issues, he had to come home. He enrolled at Kilgore, had a successful season, and came to the high school to work out one day. That same day, a recruiter from LSU came to King's office looking for a player, and King sent him to the direction of Jeter. Jeter was invited to a camp, balled out, and the 6'6 now 250 lbs Jeter received a scholarship to play at LSU. He's not higher on the list because of his lack of statistical production his senior year, which isn't his fault. Caraway was hurt that year and the QB play suffered.
4. adrian reese
Years: 2003-05
Career Touchdowns: 5
Adrian Reese was a 6'6 mix match on two of the most absolutely stacked teams that has ever came through Longview. He only scored 5 career TDs, but at 6'6 220 and running a legit 4.5 he was a monster. Reese's numbers aren't that impressive but he played with Vondrell McGee, Chris Ivory, Malcolm Kelly, and David Robinson. Reese went on to start his freshman year at Texas Tech at inside receiver, but after a coaching change, he transferred to Northwestern State to finish his career.
3. Jordan Whitaker
Years: 2013
Career Touchdowns: 8
Jordan Whitaker was an exceptional receiving tight end for the Lobos in 2013. The 6'3, rangy target caught 8 TDs that season. Although he wasn't dominate in his run blocking, he was virtually a wide receiver on the field. Whitaker was the beneficiary of a great time to be an athletic tight end at Longview mixed with great receivers like Dorian Leonard, Chris Pellum, Stephon Anthony who all caught at least 5 TDs from Dez Chumley that season.
Years: 2015-17
College: Kilgore
Brown was brought up to varsity at the tale end of his sophomore year, making 3 catches, but exploded on to the scene with an All State performances of 13 catches, 9 going for touchdowns. He was a dominate run blocker as well as pass catcher, and his huge senior year in 2017 pushed him atop of this list. Jaylin was 1st Team All-State after catching 31 passes for 638 yards and 13 touchdowns. For a career he caught 47 passes for over 800 yards and 22 touchdowns.
2. Tate Casey

Years: 2001-03
Career Touchdowns: 5
So this time around i've actually watched tape on tate casey, and he was an absolute dude. a viscous blocker, a playmaker at tight end, he was simply before his time. His talent definitely was before the time, hence just 5 touchdowns, but at 6'7 230 pounds, tate casey was a dude. He's the first freshman to start at TE at Florida, he caught Tim Tebow's first jump pass, all while being a starting pitches on the Gators baseball team.
