Stats: 28 CATCHES 518 YARDS 3 TDS - 21 CARRIES 169 YARDS 2 TD

Lewis returns as the leading receiver for the Gladewater bears, and the Bears will rely on him in everyway possible in 2022. Lewis is a deep threat with solid hands, and I'm expecting big leaps from a physical standpoint going into his senior year.

Size: 6'3 185

Stats: 63 catches, 1,167 yards, 17 tds

CJ Gilbert is heads above his talent pool in 3A Division 2 at Daingerfield, and he shows it each and every Friday Night. Last year with Dee Lewis, Gilbert was incredible catching passes at their highest points, and breaking tackles in the screen game. I expect the same for Gilbert in 2022, (and with the departure of Wask... I mean Coach Keeling) wonder can he, Aeryn Hampton, D'Co Wright, Chase Johnson and Coach Nelson can finally win the State Title.

Stats: 40 Catches, 464 Yards, 4 TDS

Jermod McCoy's placement on this list is a mix between his talents and the fact he has one of the best emerging young arms in East Texas throwing to him. McCoy has an impressive catch radius, just throw it around him, he can grab it. His speed makes him explosive in the short game. He's bound for a huge 2022, lookout.

Size: 5'7 155

Stats: 46 Catches, 850 Yards, 9 TDS - 18 carries 225 yards 3 TDS

Tyson Berry is as explosive as they come, and he gets it done in a tons of ways: short game, deep balls, reverses, handoffs, return game, there's not much Berry can't do. He's a real game changer, and Coach Riordan will be very creative in getting #1 the ball this fall.

Size: 5'9 165

Stats: 53 Catches, 969 Yards, 9 TDS

Deuce is a D1 slot. I'm not a recruiting site by any means, but with his ability to get loose after the catch, he is as dangerous as they come. He had an even better sophomore year, as the yards decreased his junior year for a number of reasons: (Berry's emergence, QB change). Make no mistake, McGregor will be Brisbon's number 1 target in 2022, and if the sophomore shows improvement, that means long nights for DBs.

Size: 6' 180

Stats: 61 Catches, 1054 Yards, 14 TDS

I've been a fan of Hatten since his sophomore tape. The kid can flat out play, and last year he made major strides in both production and his game. Hatten is an elite redzone target with his ability to catch the ball at its highest point. He has a knack for the spectacular catch and has the signal caller that has the arm to get him the ball. Cuff to Hatten maybe the best duo since Morgan to Claiborne.

Size: 6' 175
Stats: 88 Catches, 1420 Yards, 11 TDS

As I type I'm just now realizing that the Top 7 receivers on this list are all 2 time members of the Top 100 Lists, Fluellen debuted at 62 in 2020, was number 4 last season. Rohan is as savvy as a route runner, and his ability to make clutch plays all over the field is reminiscent to the season Cooper Kupp had in 2021. The concern will be the QB play as Gilmer transitions from Brandon to Cadon Tennison in 2022. If the youngster is to have major success, it's because he's leaning on the wily veteran, Rohan Fluellen.

Size: 6' 180

Stats: 63 Catches, 890 Yards, 9 TDS

Devin McCuin has been a diamond in the rough the last 2 seasons in Jacksonville. 2-18 in the last 2 seasons, new coach Jason Holman has some work cut out to do at his alma mater. While I have no idea what Jacksonville's 2022 will look like, I do know 1 thing. Devin McCuin is Him. His play was incredible both on offense and defense last season, seeing him make the list at number 88 despite his team being 1-9. If the Indian's are to get it turned around, expect it to come through Devin McCuin.

Size: 6' 180

Stats: 39 Catches, 808 Yards, 13 TDS

Don't let the low production fool you. Had Eli Holt finished the year for Tyler, the Lions would've played another 2 rounds last year. Holt to Wade was the scariest duo in East Texas last season as Wade made all types of plays from his receiver position. But who will be throwing it up to Wade this year? We've seen Wade with and without Eli Holt and the production is on two different spectrums. Wade has the ability to be the number 1 receiver in East Texas, but will he get a chance to produce for a full season. If so, look out Fred Ross, some records are on the way down.

Size: 6'2 190

Stats: 50 Catches, 1,154 Yards, 14 TDS

There are 7 legitimate superstars at the receiver position, but Jalen Hale's play rises amongst them all. What Hale has been able to accomplish at one of the toughest levels of competition in East Texas, has separated him from the rest of this class. Hale has the ability to do it in the short game, route running, and deep ball. The only question is can Hale carry Longview past the 3rd Round. Two years in a row the Lobos have met their match in the third, with Hale going down swinging against Ryan (6 catches 136 yards, 2 TDs). Can he carry the Lobos to the state game like a Kamden Perry?
