2022 Preseason East Texas Top 10 Defensive Lineman

2022 Preseason East Texas Top 10 Defensive Lineman

Players to Watch:

Sr. Jeremiah Hardeman - New Boston

Sr. Calvin Mason - West Rusk

Sr. LaDarius Pitts - Whitehouse

Size: 6'4 260

Stats: First Team All District in 2021 - 70 tackles, 10 for loss

Shaw overwhelms his competition at times, and with his build his physicality is overpowering. He has a great motor paired with good athleticism and speed. Expect dominance from Shaw this year.

Size: 5'11 240

Stats: First Team All District in 2021

Adams is a great high school football player. He's a bull that always has the best leverage because of his size. He moves and anticipates as good as anyone in the area and is always a threat to make a tackle.

Size: 6' 270

Stats: First Team All District in 2021 #81 on the 2021 List.

An absolute load and punisher on the inside from Texas High, Childs is a double team destroyer. He plays with great leverage and is a real stump on that D-Line. He has first step explosion that overpowers lesser football players. He's a threat to the run game inside for that Tiger Defense.

Size: 6' 250

Stats: First Team All District in 2021 - #95 on the 2021 List.

Combs is physical up front and holds the point well for Marshall. He's a savvy football player, and has moves up front that overwhelms lesser players. Combs can be a headache to a run game, and paired with Adams he's apart of a stingy Marshall defense.

Size: 5'11 255

Stats: First Team All District in 2021 - #84 on the 2021 List.

Christian is hell on a center at nose guard. He's quicker than you, he's stronger than you, and he's meaner than you. He strikes the center and forces his way into the backfield to redirect runs, or bring them down himself. He's a true high school run stopper.

Size: 6'3 230

Stats: First Team All District in 2021 - #75 on the 2021 list.

Morris is going to be even scarier this year than last with added physical size and speed. He's a hungry football player, whose motor never stops. He plays with a true desire, and he's got the athleticism and game to match.

Size: 6'3 280

Stats: First Team All District in 2021 - #27 on the 2021 list.

Fite is the best nose guard returning in East Texas. He's got the size, speed, brain, athleticism to be big time. He plays well with his hands, sheds blocks with ease over his competition, and has an incredible burst. I expect Fite to lead the Eagles back to prominence under the direction of Keeling.

Size: 6'4 250

Stats: First Team All District in 2021

Renaud's statistics suffer because of the scheme, but make no mistake about it, he can play football. His play became increasingly better as the season progressed, and with a full year of Texas Football under his belt, I expect domination from him his senior year.

Size: 6' 220

Stats: First Team All District in 2021 - #21 on the 2021 List.

JR is explosive. He's a top athlete with an incredible burst, and natural strength. His athleticism can overwhelm tackles, and with frenetic energy he makes some ridiculous plays.

Size: 6'4 250

Stats: First Team All District in 2021 - #7 on the 2021 List

Huddleston is athletic, maybe not as athletic as Renaud or Rougely, but he's a better football player. Starting at both ways, Huddletson is a natural run stopper, with his ability to cross hat offensive lineman, or simply winning the battle up front with his hands. His ability to transfer playing the run to pass is a strength with his ability to shed blockers while moving forward. He's a tremendous player.
