Spence and Co. Presents The Top 10 2025 East Texas Preseason Offensive Linemen

Without a good offensive line a team is only going to go so far with just skill talent. These 10 are key cogs for their teams and will have to play big for their teams to make it as deep as they can for 2025.

Big Perk started at LT for Marshall and is a mauler in double teams. Perkins has a lot of potential and that's because of his size. His development will depend on how his body develops. At 6'5 320, Perkins can put his body on folks and send them into another gap. He excelled in double teams and base blocks. Luckily the scheme he's in doesn't focus on the negatives. He's able to fire off the ball and be heavy and do work, and the Mavericks will need it to repeat their success from 2024.

Junior Westin Pepper is a baller out of New Boston. He plays with impressive effort, can move his feet and is a fearless competitor. An offensive lineman is only as good as he cares, and with Pepper he moves with an urgency like he cares. Pepper can create an instant surge on the line of scrimmage and he has a great back in Ashton Rowden to create holes for.

Lufkin made a great comeback this past season, finishing their regular season 9-1 and ending their season 10-2. The biggest part of that turnaround was the productive play from their offensive line. Justus Daniels was the standout amongst that group. A competitive left tackle mixed with solid athleticism gives Daniels the opportunity to win each snap. He's not afraid to mix it up, and that's the type of player you need to change a mindset up front.

Jayden Jackson got his start midway out of the year and never looked back. A versatile lineman, Jackson can play any of the spots up front, but made his mark at LG for Longview this past season. Athletic, Jackson can pull and cram with the best of them and with added size and strength his game should increase too.

Vincent Johnson graded out as a 90 last season, so it's no surprise to see him committed to TCU. Johnson has incredible size and can play. He's athletic for his size, has great punch and will be able to help the Frogs. He graded out as an 87 as a sophomore, a 90 as a junior, this season I'm expecting Johnson to crack the top 100.

Jones came in on the list at #78 on last year's list and he's a dog. Competitive and well coached, Jones plays with great technique and is trying to maul something every time he makes a block. He pulls with speed and aggression and pounds his feet well in the run game. Pass blocking wise he's got great technique, tries to square his opponents up and moves his feet. A great player looking to go back to back in 2025 with the Bulldogs.

Chizz is a 2 time member of the Top 100 already, and is a nasty, competitive guard from Texas High. He can pull with the best of them and is trying to destroy somebody on the kickout blocks. He plays with good leverage and technique in pass protection. In the run game he works really well in double teams and can get to the next level.

DeMarrion Johnson is the next major D1 lineman coming out of East Texas. DJ is all of 6'5 and 315, but he moves as well or better than most of the lineman at this level. His feet are impressive, and he plays with a level of nastiness when he can finish his opponent. Johnson can play and his offer sheet is absolutely full. He's got the size to protect the passer on the next level, and with his quick feet Johnson has an opportunity to play football for a long time.

A two time member of the list, Cameron Griffin is an absolute dog. He's got great weight for the offensive line and when he puts his hands on people he can move them backwards. Leadership is more of a personal quality, but for some reason you can tell Griffin is a leader based off how hard and passionate he is. Lindale's been a staple of offensive line play for a while and Griffin's the latest to star for the Eagles.

Qua Ford is a true star on the offensive line. A 2 year starter going into his junior year, Qua came in on the top 100 at #7 last season. He's a big person. 6'5 300 plus and has great feet and is a mauler. He has long arms that standout in pass protection. He's a 4 star prospect and has been offered by Ohio State, Alabama and Florida to just name a few. He's a special player, and luckily we get to watch him 2 more seasons.
