Spence and Co's 2025 LB Ratings

This wasn't an All-Time Classic group of linebackers, but there is plenty of talent throughout the list this year. 

Legacy Players: 

 

Jaylon Foster went off in 2025, and the 4 year letterman has been killing for a while in East Texas. This season Foster had 32 tackles for loss and 13.5 sacks playing from all over the place. His speed and ferocity was unmatched by OL all year. 

Carson Crawford solidified him self as one of the legends of East Texas in 2025. Crawford killed on defense making 121 tackles and 20 for loss. He had 2 interceptions, 4 defensive touchdowns, and on offense delivered big time catches and touchdowns as a receiver. He's headed to Colorado but leaves here a legend.

Incredible Years:

Hood Jr. looked like the best linebacker on tape in 2025. He effortlessly flies around the field, and he's looking to make big damage to people. He did an incredible job of reading inside run, and held the Lufkin defense together from the middle.

Dalan Montgomery had the biggest out of nowhere years for me. He made the most out of his senior year and was a missile on the field. He finished 2025 with 90 tackles, 3 forced fumbles and 8 tfls. 

Isaiah Watters had a special 2025. Watters had spot duty at running back, totaling 11 touchdowns, but he made his living on defense in 2025. 145 tackles, 17 for loss and a part of one of the saltiest defense in East Texas history playing next to David McGowan and La'Keyelon on Graves. 

On the Rise:

Ja'Bory Taylor graded out as a 92, so his placement on the list was no surprise in 2025. He graded out as a 94, after making 105 tackles and coming up with 8 sacks. He's a problem defensively, and many people aren't equipped with solutions.

District Newcomer of the year Lawson Tubb made a splash introduction to the varsity game early in the season against Lufkin. A routine kick off turned into the first of many big plays from Tubb as he absolutely smashed the returner. Tubb graded out as a 90 overall, and after that experience I expect to see him make the list as a Senior.
